This generation ball has been re-engineered with a larger softer core for faster compression and more distance. This ball may have some scuffing or discoloration on the skin of the ball. You can rub your finger over the scuff and you should not feel any rough spots. The rough spots affect ball flight, spin, and putting. We are golfers as well, and we personally don't compromise our game with a ball that might hurt our game. I think the game is hard enough, right?
